This is a step by step process for any Connecticut resident who is looking to purchase their first suppressor.
1.) BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE PROCESS OF ACQUIRING A TAX STAMP TALK TO A PROFESSIONAL AND ASK HIM ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.
2.) LET US HELP YOU PICK OUT THE CORRECT SUPPRESSOR, WHICH WILL BE SERIALIZED AND SUBMITTED WITH YOUR FORM 4.
3.) ONCE ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED AND YOU HAVE PICKED OUT A SUPPRESSOR GO TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND HAVE THEM FINGER PRINT YOU.
4.) GET A 2X2 SELF PORTRAIT TAKEN (PASSPORT PHOTO), WHICH CAN BE DONE THROUGH RITE-AID, WALGREENS, OR CVS. (CHEST UP RECOMMENDED)
5.) MAKE ONE CHECK PAYABLE IN THE AMOUNT OF $200.00 TO THE BATF (BEAURA OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND FIREARMS) OR BRING A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD WITH YOU.
6.) BRING EVERYTHING TO SPORTSMEN’S OUTPOST INCLUDING THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF YOUR TOWNS CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER SO WE CAN SUBMIT YOUR FORM 4 TO THE BATF.
WHILE YOU WAIT
Once you have completed all the requirements for your Form 4, we will submit the required documents to the BATF and they will return a tax stamp to us within 6-8 months. This tax stamp will be assigned to the serialized suppressor you picked out with us before the eight-month wait.
