The Maverick line of shotguns are assembled in Eagle Pass, Texas. Some of the parts that are manufactured for these shotguns are done so in Mexico, which is why they can be found at a much lower price point when compared to the Mossberg 500 line of shotguns. Most of the parts on the Maverick 88 can be interchanged with the 500, which means you can save money now and upgrade to higher end parts in the future.

Stoeger is currently owned by Beretta and is a  manufacturer/importer of firearms into the U.S.A. The company originated in 1924 and before they were bought out by Beretta they were considered the largest gun store in New York City. Stoeger Industries is now located in Accokeek, Maryland where they continue to produce and distribute high-end shotguns for many of the popular shooting applications.

You can find an excellent selection of autoloading shotguns with a synthetic stock that are available in black or camo finishes. Benelli was founded in Urbino, Italy in 1967 by a lady named Teressa Benelli who started the company with her 6 sons out of their belief in the semi-automatic shotgun. Many of the Semi- Automatic shotguns were designed with a unique inertia operating system, which is a gas operating system that would increase the reliability and decrease the maintenance that needed to be performed on the shotgun when Military and Law Enforcement agencies that would use them.

Ligi Franchi is an Italian firearm manufacturer and founder of Franchi. This company was a family business since it opened up and then in 1987, Franchi was acquired by the industrial conglomerate Socimi, who went bankrupt in 1993. Franchi is now owned by Beretta holdings in Italy.

Franchi manufacturers a large variety of shotguns for hunting and trap/skeet shooting. The most popular shotguns for trap and skeet shooting are called the Franchi Instinct SL’s. Browning was founded in 1878 in Morgan, Utah. The company was originally founded to market the designs of John Brownings firearms, who is one of the world’s most prolific firearm inventors. Just about all of John Browning’s designs have been manufactured under licenses by other companies like Winchester, Colt, Remington, and FNH. Now in days, Browning is still producing innovative shotgun designs, and they have become best known for the Browning BPS shotgun.
