While at the sportsman's shown in Springfield, I ran into Mike, the owner of Sportsmen's Outpost. After talking to him for a while, I explained the experiences I had with other shops. He told me to visit his store and they would take care of me. Shortly after that I went to the store. Mike remembered me, which was impressive. Mike, who is also a technician, tuned my bow and had it dialed in perfectly in 15 minutes. And this was after three other shops couldn't do a thing with it. Since that first visit, I have bought a new bow there, several accessories and new arrows. My wife bought a bow there as well. Tony, another technician, spent a great deal of time with my wife and made sure she got exactly what she needed. He worked with her and spent time working on her shooting form. Recently I won a new bow in an online raffle and brought it in to get it outfitted and set up. Mike took the time to tune it just right.

This is a really good, fair shop and my experience is just as an accidental customer. I'm sorry if this gets to be a long review. A friend brought me into Mike's shop 7 years ago when he was buying a bow. He wanted to trade in an older bow and Mike was really fair with him by telling him that his old bow was a really good bow and he should just hang onto it because although it being a great bow, it was older and bow hunters look for the newest gear so he wouldn't be able to give him much money for it. My buddy just had to have a new bow anyway so Mike said, why don't you give it to your buddy and we will set up your new bow for you and your old bow for him (me). I was not and still don't claim to be a bow hunter, but Mike did such a great job setting up the bow for me that I really love shooting it at targets. He took an hour or so of his time to teach me and make sure the bow worked well for me even though I had no clue what I was doing. I really appreciate that type of service with an education.
